Evgenii Artemenkov, born in Tyumen (Russia) in 1998, began playing the violin at the age of 6 at the Music School of Samara city with his teacher, Irina Kaverina. He joined the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Yuri Bashmet, starting as a second violinist and later becoming the concertmaster of the group. At 14, Evgenii started studying at the Moscow State College of Music Performance with Professor Iliya Tkachenko. Since 2017, Evgenii has been living in Vienna, where he studies at the Josef Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt with Professor Anna Kandinskaya. He is the second violinist of the Kandinsky Quartet, grounded in September 2020. With the quartet, he studies in Munich with Quatuor Ébène and in Vienna with Professor Johannes Meissl.
